DIY Shadowbox Pendants, Sea Glass Imagery from eCrafty.com!

We have been playing with the possibilities of our 201F Shadow Box Pendants and our Sea Glass Pebbles Kits. Here’s our exciting (ongoing) results so far!

Here’s 3 gorgeous themed shadowbox pendants ~ each using our 201F floating charms/shadowbox charms and a few themed charm and 3mm or under (for box interior) bead embellishments from our site.

First off – wow! Look what Cheryl made! In order, they are Mermaid  Dreams (above),  Spring Time  and TeaTime/ What’s Cookin?

She added a variety of themed charms from our charms and pendants section, a few beaded dangles made of crystals or millefiori glass, and embellished the interiors of the charms with 3mm thick beads (our silver spacer beads 3mm, or our seed bead mixtures, along with our flat-profiled charms.

You can also use these shadowboxes charms to hold favorite photos of course! The beauty of these is that in addition to a photo, you have the chance to add a snippet of word, a word charm, a little piece of fabric (maybe old baby blanket?)….You get the idea!

Sea Glass Images:

Anne has been experimenting with image transfer onto our sea glass pebbles kits .  Here’s the exciting results ~ click image to enlarge

Sea Glass Imaging Techniques: Anne applied 3D Crystal Lacquer directly onto our Sea Glass Pebbles to get an instant contrasting textural pattern (glossy/matte stripes or dots). She also drew directly onto the pebbles with a fine point sharpie (seahorse). She glued a lacy fern front directly onto the glass with 3D Crystal Lacquer. Lastly, she tried an image transfer with a laser or ink jet print. We are still working on the image transfer idea and will keep you updated on our results.

Any of these techniques have great possibilities and add a ton of dimension to our Sea Glass Pebbles Pendant Kit. Get a batch today and start playing! Combine them with our other sea glass beads and themed charms and glass pearls – Send us your results and we’ll publish them here!
