Cheryl loves the color plated metal jump rings from eCrafty.com.  She is very excited to use each and every color in the collection.  Here she made sparkling dangle earrings with sky blue jump rings and crystal rondelles.  To see how Cheryl made these earrings, along with a clickable supplies list, keep reading below!

How to make it:
Cheryl threaded 4 crystal rondelles on each of six jump rings.  She used a variety of blues and clear beads to add depth.  Then she linked the jump rings together and hung the waterfall from a earring hook.  She repeated the process for the second earring.  So easy.

DIY Sea Glass & Crystal Honey Bee Necklace Recipe from eCrafty.com
How to Make It:
First Cheryl took the charm bracelet and removed the charm and bar part of the clasps.  This forms the part of the necklace that goes around the back of the neck.
The rest of the necklace are series of random sections of jump ring chains, eye pins links and large 12mm jump rings which she attached to the bracelet.  Each section is embellished with sea glass beads and crystals beads in amber and clear.
Cheryl made many small dangles that are attached to the jump ring chains and the large jump rings.  She threaded several eye pins with crystals and sea glass to form beaded links.  These were connected until Cheryl got the princess length necklace of 16″ to 18″ that she wanted.
She placed her toggle clasp fastener at the front right for interest.
The center dangle is another toggle part.  Cheryl used the circle part of toggle with jump ring chain and a ball end dangle for the center focal point.
And of course there is a darling bee charm front and center.  Lacy leaf charms and dragonfly charms are scattered throughout the necklace.

DIY Beaded Pearl Candle Collar from eCrafty.com

Tags

, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Inspired by our new Acrylic Pearls Mega Mix, SKU 584, Anne, our Queen of All Things Glued, re-purposed an empty packing tape tube bound for the recycling bin, and used nail polish to create this gorgeous and versatile candle decoration.

When this candle has burned down she can move the ring to a new one. She’s also thinking it would work really well around a vase.

amhspearlcandleaquafinal2.500

The packing tube used here is about 3.25″ in diameter.  She used 45g of the 50g of pearls. That leaves some extra pearls leftover for a little jewelry!

amhspearlcandlesblue800.2

Price: $3.99

Supplies:

How to Make It:

Prepare the tube:

If you want color on the tube under the pearls, paint your tube now. Anne applied nail polish after she attached the pearls and strongly advises painting before pearls. You might also want to paint the interior of the tube.

Apply the pearls:

amhspearlcandlesilverlg1

Pour the pearls into a shallow tray where they can spread out in a single layer. You may want to use something you don’t care much about because it is likely to get glue-y. Apply very sticky glue (silicone caulk works well) around approximately a quarter of the outside of the cardboard tube. Roll the glue-y part in the pearls. Prop the tube up and let that section dry. Repeat to cover the whole tube.

Enjoy! Happy Creating!

DIY Glass Pearl Cha Cha Bracelet Recipe from eCrafty.com

Tags

, , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Cheryl made this incredible glass pearl cha cha bracelet by creating one basic glass pearl beaded dangle in various colors, then attaching them to our 1197B pre-assembled chain maille bracelet base. Her design uses only 4 items – chain maille bracelet baseglass pearlsball end headpins and crystal rondelles or bicones.  Gold is the new black, and Cheryl made sure to sneak in quite a few gorgeous gold pearls into this piece.

cjspearlbrac14

You can convert this bracelet into a stunning necklace by clipping the ends to a chain necklace.  Try our 1240z ball chain necklace.  Just clip the lobster clasp of the bracelet to the ring end of the necklace and the ring end to the clasp of the necklace.  Instant glamour.

Cheryl created simple dangles using a clear crystal bead and a glass pearl on a ball end head pin.  She attached the dangles as she went to the rings of the charm bracelet.  She loved the color selection of our 8mm glass pearl mix.  You could pick out several strands of pearls in the colors you want.

Cheryl chose to use a chain maille charm bracelet for a full opulent look.  If you want a simpler look, just use a simple single chain charm bracelet like our SKU 1196B.

DIY Jewelry Maker’s Sunshine Orange Necklace from eCrafty.com

Tags

Cheryl was inspired by one of eCrafty.com’s NEW Jewelry Maker’s bead mixes.  Our Sunshine Orange Yellow mix is so cheerful that it just had to put into a bright happy necklace.  Our Jewelry Maker’s mixes have both lampwork beads and crystal beads.  All you need in one mix. See them all here: Jewelry Maker’s Fancy Lampwork Bead Mixes at eCrafty.com

Her secret is that she used a key ring as the base.  Also, hanger beads are just right for attaching the bead dangles and necklace chain.

Keep reading below for more pictures, color variations, and easy instructions,

DIY Sunshine Orange Necklace Recipe, Supplies from eCrafty.com

How to make it:

To begin, Cheryl threaded the hanger spacer beads onto the key ring.  She used 8 hanger spacer beads in all.  Next Cheryl created simple dangles using a mixture of the lampwork beads and the crystal beads on a ball end head pin.  She hung the dangles from the key ring chain and from the hanger spacer beads.  To finish, she attached the ball chain necklace to the last 2 hanger spacer beads.

DIY Love in a Bottle XOXO Wedding Favors from eCrafty.com

Tags

, , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Look at this sweet wedding favor idea Anne created! She used eCrafty.com’s wooden alphabet beads SKU 1216D and our mini bottles SKU 1200V to create these adorable wedding favors. She likes the 1200V mini bottle size because of how well they stand up even with the weight of our “Follow Your Heart” SKU 1211 charm on them.

amhsxoxoweddingbottles4 amhsxoxoweddingbottles1

She added the metal charm to the top of the cork with one of our mini eye screws SKU 1206A. Now she’s thinking about adding crystal or a love bead SKU 633f or a “Live Laugh Love” SKU 1475G charm.

The alphabet beads fit very snugly through the opening and come with multiple copies of each letter so initials would work too. If you want lots of Xs and Os, you could customize them using either paint or small round stickers as for Scrabble tile jewelry or nail art.

If you want to add a dangle from the top of the bottle, you will need eye screws, SKU 1206E, jump rings and possibly head pins depending on your design. For example, you could add some of our crystals or pearls in the wedding colors.

DIY Lace Doily Glass Pendants Recipe for Mother’s Day from eCrafty.com

Tags

Anne created these easy to make lacy glass hearts (use as pendants or magnets) with just a few items from eCrafty.com. These are so pretty and SO easy for all ages! This is a nice entry-level class for school age children as well as troops and camp groups.

amhs302hdoilliehearts3

How to make our Lacy Glass Doilly Doilie Hearts

Anne trimmed a paper doily, applied 3D Crystal Lacquer to the back of our 302H-10pc heart glass tiles, let it dry, trimmed the excess edge with scissors, and added one of our 806A-10pc glue-on bails with e-6000 adhesive. Super simple, easy for any age. Make pendants or magnets (glue our 300P magnets to back) with this simple concept!

amhs302hdoillieheartsneck5

Finished Glass doily heart pendant (above) attached to our eCrafty.com 366.3 pink suede neck cord. We have many neck cords, 10 pack cords, chains, etc. here ~ choose your style to suit your heart!

Get creative – add or swap out glitter for the doily for another very simple project for any age group. Trade out glitter for nail polish – use your nail polish as reverse glass painting. Seal backs with either 3D Crystal Lacquer or quick light coat of e-6000. Let dry fully.

If you’re lucky enough to have a pretty lace or crochet remnant, that works well too!

And, try mixing up your glass shapes – we stock rectangles, squares, circles, ovals and hearts, click here.

DIY Beach Glass Memory Wire Beaded Cuff Bracelet Recipes from eCrafty.com

Tags

, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Try these easy sea glass beaded bracelets with Memory Wire from eCrafty.com  Look what Cheryl and Anne whipped up recently!

Here are two Memory Wire bracelets with sea glass and charms that will be favorites in your jewelry box.  And so easy to make.

DIY Memory Wire Beaded Cuff Bracelets from eCrafty.com
Beach Glass Beads Memory Wire Bracelets

Cheryl and Anne used our Memory Wire, along with two of our sea glass bead blends from eCrafty.com for this tropical set beaded cuff bracelets. Memory wire is a very each material to work with for crafters of all skill levels – great for beginners!

DIY Memory Wire Beaded Cuff Bracelet Recipe from eCrafty.com

Sea Glass with Bird Bead Memory Wire Bracelet

How to make it:

Cheryl cut the memory wire to the length she wanted.  You can have one or two coils, like her bracelet above, or a lot like our bracelets shown at the bottom of this post.

Then she made a loop at one end of the wire.  She strung the beads on the wire in a random pattern.  When she was done putting the beads on, she made another loop.  For the bird dangle, she threaded some 4mm beads and a bird bead onto a ball end head pin.  The loop of the head pins are then fastened to each loop of the memory wire for a finishing tough.

Creating with Memory Wire Tips:

To cut memory wire, you want to use OLD or heavy duty wire cutters, or use specially made memory wire cutters, not your good flush cutters.

To finish the ends: Bend the raw end around one open side of your round nosed pliers with a second set of pliers in your opposite hand.

You can keep it simple, as in the bracelets shown here, or you can add a quick little beaded or charmed dangle by using a headpin, jump ring and charm or extra crystal – see more samples on our blog, here. https://ecrafty.wordpress.com/2014/09/17/diy-easy-memory-wire-bracelet-recipes-from-ecrafty-com/

Memory wire can hold all kinds of things with holes! Try buttons, acrylic beads (for kids) even macaroni!

To finish the other end, simply make a second loop as above. Add a beaded dangle if you’d like. You can use some of our themed charms, or simply our “handmade” or “made for you” charms. You can also use our message charm mix – very fun – lots of choices!

Here Anne created a sea glass seed bead memory wire bracelet using our Ocean Mega Mix spacer beads SKU 1303-MEGA.  She finished the ends by gluing on some cute fish beads.  Darling!
