cjswavycopperartfulneck3A new arrival at eCrafty.com is our wavy metal tube beads in silver and copper.  Cheryl just couldn’t wait to start creating with them.  These beads give your design an elegant modern look.
First she made a convertible bracelet necklace with the copper wavy metal tube beads.   She threaded the beads onto stretchy cord so that the creation could be worn as a multi strand bracelet or as a necklace.

DIY Easy Keychains Recipe Using Instant Peel n Stick Craft Films from eCrafty.com

You might not realize just how easy it is to create your own sealed keychain with just our 800P Peel n Stick Adhesive Strips! No liquid sealers necessary! Read on!

amhskeychainsmollymonkey3

Look what Anne whipped up recently from a very simple supply list from eCrafty.com.

It’s a toss up who is cuter – Anne’s daughter Molly as a toddler or an adult sock monkey. It depends on your perspective! All you will need to add is your own art or photos, and make sure to have a pair of scissors or a trimming board handy.

amhsbuttonmollysockmonkeykeychain2

DIY Easy Keychain Peel n Stick Instant Recipe Supplies from eCrafty.com Designs by Anne Strasser

Choose your art and trim to fit the jewelry base.

Cover and protect the top (picture side) of your art with 801Z by cutting a piece that is a little larger than your art, peeling off the backing and sticking the 801Z onto the “good” side of your art.

Trim off any extra 801Z. Cut a piece of 800P double-sided adhesive film to fit the jewelry base. Peel the backing off one side of the film and stick into the base.

Peel the other side of the backing from the film. (An exacto blade or pin can be helpful to get it started.) Stick the back side of the prepared art onto the sticky film pressing firmly once the art is in place.

Voila! You are ready to put your base onto the key ring!

This is an easy craft to do with groups, classrooms, troops or meetings as there are no liquid sealers or drying times involved. Great for quick Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or Grandparent’s Day gifts! Think ahead for Christmas stocking stuffers – use last year’s Christmas photo or this year’s school pictures or Facebook posts and Instagrams!

A fun charm bracelet and earring set made with our new 9mm resin buttons mix. With just one bag of 6mm jump ringsa basic bracelet base, and a few ear wires, she completed this set in (3) 10-minute intervals over 3 days. (Short attention span, that Kim). If she can do it, anyone can! :-)

Supplies from eCrafty.com

rainbowbuttonbracearskln14

Supplies you’ll need to make the bracelet:

SKU 1063B  Rainbow Mix Buttons 9mm (450pc per bag ~ lots!)

SKU 1501W  6mm x 1mm Silver Plated Jump Rings

SKU 1198D 1 Starter Chain Bracelet Base, silver plated, 7″

rainbowbuttonbracearskln12

Additional supplies you’ll need to make the earrings:

SKU 806M 10mm Silver Plated Split Jump Rings

SKU 1558 1 bag silver plated ear wires

Production notes: 30 minutes total – (3) 10 minute intervals – I’m a little rusty!

Basic technique: Open the jump ring like an “s”.  Attach button onto base chain with 6mm jump ring – close the jump ring with pliers. Repeat.

rainbowbuttonbracearskln16

….. and limited time: I admit – I get pulled in many directions, with a very short attention span to boot ~ I don’t get as much time to craft as I would like – but I’m practicing being persistent! (How many more excuses can I use? I’m bad at completing my projects!) Sound familiar?

I had a lot of fun making these – even with very little time to spare. I highly recommend you give this easy technique a try!

DIY Bali Beads & Pearls Bracelet Recipe from eCrafty.com

Tracy started with about 12″ of stretchy beading cord.  Using an alternating pattern, she threaded one 8mm glass pearl lustre beads in ivory and then one Bali spacer bead.

Most stretchy bracelets are between 7″ and 8″ long.  You can check the length of your bracelet with a ruler before tying your knot.

Tracy’s Tip:
A surgical knot and a drop of jeweler’s glue or e6000 adhesive applied with the head of a pin will secure your stretchy bracelet cord.

Zounds! Anne has been at it again! Things I never would put together turn out to be really intriguing once Anne or Cheryl gets hold of the supplies!

Anne created these cute mixed media pendants with a retro feel using our silver square charm bases, acrylic alphabet beads, nail polish (optional), and her new favorite item, 800P clear double-sided adhesive film.

Cascading Love, Rainy Days & Mondays ~ Typeset Message Pendants Recipe from eCrafty.com Design by Anne Strasser

Materials from eCrafty.com:

amhstypesetterpendants7

How to make our Typeset Message Pendants:

  • If you want a color background, use nail polish in the pan of the 400P charm base.
  • After it is dry, put a square of our double sided adhesive into the base.
  • Both sides should be uncovered so it sticks to the base and provides a sticky suface for the letters.
  • Fit your letters where you want, pressing down firmly. Anne used 12 letters in both 1″ bases ~ see what you can spell out!
  • When you have your letters in place, cover any exposed 800P film in the charm base bottom (between the letters) with our Diamond Glaze and let dry. (Alternately, you can use e6000 clear permanent adhesive to glue the beads to the charm base).
  • Slip a ball chain necklace through the bail and your pendant is ready to wear!

DIY Vintage Button Bracelet & Earrings Recipe from eCrafty.com

Our buttons are great materials for jewelry making.  Here Cheryl used our warm naturals vintage button mix from eCrafty.com for both a bracelet and earrings.
DIY Button Bracelet Recipe from eCrafty.com
To make matching earrings, add:

Buttons in all shapes and sizes can turn into stunning jewelry.  And it is so simple.  Cheryl started with a charm bracelet base in antique gold.  She loves the mixed metals trend.  So she used jump rings in silver and antique gold to attach the buttons to the base.  She even found a silver button and a gold button in the mix.

For the earrings, Cheryl used the same mix of silver and antique gold jump rings to attach buttons to earring hooks.   For the second pair, she used some stamped metal pieces for the base for the chandelier look earrings.

Cheryl’s tip: Using a neutral color pallete makes timeless jewelry that everyone loves.  Add a splash of color if you want and accent with small silver spacer beads or seed or e-beads.

This latest necklace from Cheryl uses our paddle style head pins to make a fun fringe pendant. This reminds me of the very popular safety pin jewelry technique – specifically the lapel pins made from safety pins.
This basic design is so easy to customize – you could incorporate team colors, patterns, or ….?  It’s up to you! I love this idea!

Cheryl used just a few items from eCrafty.com.  She threaded seed beads SKU 413F and small bicone beads SKU 1181-MEGA onto our paddle head pins SKU 1606D making a loop at the top.  The then made a head pin into a eye pin and strung the beaded head pins onto it with spacer beads between the looped ends.  Cheryl choose to hang her fringe pendant from two snake chains SKU 1414E-10PACK to make an extra long “lariat” length necklace.
